BODY POLISH
Body polish is the most popular beauty treatment. It is also called body scrub, salt glow or sea-salt scrub. This is an exfoliating body treatment that takes place in a spa. Preferably on a table/massage bed covered with a sheet. This treatment begins with total stripping of all clothing, you may be given a disposable clothing or towel to cover some areas of your body.
The next step is to lie face down on your stomach, as a massage therapist uses a fine mix of sea salt, essential oils, and aromatics (E.g lemon) to rub deeply into the skin. The scrub will be applied all over the body to exfoliate the skin, to reveal a fresh and smooth layer of skin.
After the entire body has been scrubbed, it will be left to sit on the skin for about 10 to 15 minutes. Then, you shower it all off with warm water, leaving a nice coating of oils resting on the skin.
Your massage therapist can use a desired blend of essential oils, scrub materials and natural ingredients like turmeric, honey, oats, brown sugar, white sugar, lemon, lime, can be added to get a desired result.
There are different types of glow scrubs which include: orange blossom/peppermint salt glow, cucumber salt glow, pineapple/walnut sugar glow, and body scrubs can also be made with coffee grounds, finely ground pecan shells or Napa Valley grape seeds. A moisturizer or a hydrating lotion is applied afterward.
